Denver, CO – Computronix is pleased to announce that its market-leading POSSE Alcoholic Beverage Control (“POSSE ABC”) software has been selected by the State of Kansas Alcoholic Beverage Control Division to replace its legacy ABC Liquor Licensing and Regulatory System.
The ABC Division of the Kansas Department of Revenue is the state’s regulatory authority for enforcing Kansas liquor laws through the issuance of state licenses and permits, monitoring product flow, conducting compliance reviews of licensed premises, and enforcing restrictions on underage access to alcohol and a variety of other statutory violations.
“ABC is very excited about its partnership with Computronix because of (the company’s) understanding of the liquor industry, proven software, and successful implementation history,” said Jeannine Koranda, Kansas Department of Revenue public information officer.
Because of its unique, site-specific system needs, the Kansas ABC Division diligently searched for a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software solution that provides industry best practices for the liquor licensing and enforcement, and that also supports efficient modifications to the application. After a thorough evaluation process, the Division selected the powerful POSSE ABC solution, which delivers out-of-the-box liquor licensing and enforcement functionality supported by a fully configurable platform providing unlimited modifications to the application without changing source code.
“Computronix is pleased to have been chosen to replace the State’s Alcoholic Beverage Control system and to assist Kansas in utilizing POSSE ABC – now the leading technology for liquor licensing and enforcement agencies in North America,” said Gordon Meeberg, Computronix Vice President of Business Development.
POSSE ABC customers include the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, the British Columbia Liquor Control and Licensing Branch, and the Newfoundland-Labrador Liquor Corporation. Computronix serves the membership of the National Alcohol Beverage Control Association (NABCA), the National Conference of State Liquor Administrators (NCSLA), and the Canadian Association of Liquor Jurisdictions (CALJ).
