DENVER, Colorado – Computronix is pleased to announce that the Oregon Liquor & Cannabis Commission (OLCC) has chosen the POSSE ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Control) solution as the platform for the State of Oregon’s marijuana and liquor licensing and compliance system (MLLC).
OLLC’s selection of POSSE ABC is the first step of a multi-phase, multi-year program to replace inefficient or aging licensing systems. POSSE ABC’s off-the-shelf licensing services and automation assisted workflows will equip OLCC to support critical business processes.
OLCC’s selection of POSSE ABC replaces the state’s aging business systems and antiquated paper processes used for the review and processing of more than 15,000 liquor licenses annually. The Computronix solution will instead provide a fully integrated web-based system for licensing, permitting, enforcement, education, label registration and all activities related to alcohol and cannabis regulation.
“Maintaining and operating existing disparate systems is time consuming, expensive, and subject to failure. These legacy systems and processes are also segregated and lack consistent data flow which makes the systems susceptible to errors, redundant data entry, and poor data quality. Our implementation of the POSSE ABC system from Computronix will provide us the necessary system and tools to achieve our long-term goals for high performance service delivery.”
Boba Subasic, Chief Information Officer, OLCC
“One of the reasons we chose POSSE ABC is because the solution gathers all the information from the license or permit and makes it easy to view all in one system. The life of the license or permit is stored from initial application to final disposition including renewals, compliance activity, moves from one location to another, and name or ownership changes (within retention limits, of course). Individuals who have an interest in more than one business will be able to access their information – alcohol or cannabis, all from the same screen. What I’m looking forward to most is providing our customers a one-stop shop to access their online account and see all their history at the tips of their fingers available on mobile and their computer.”
Christie Scott, Project Management, Vendor Relations, and Solution Delivery Manager, OLCC
“Our team looks forward to working closely with the Oregon Liquor & Cannabis Commission to help the state achieve its forward-thinking vision to streamline processes administering the manufacture, distribution and sale of alcohol and marijuana with the utmost compliance to ensure public safety and consumer protections. As the market leading solution for alcoholic beverage control and cannabis regulation, POSSE ABC provides full lifecycle value to the OLCC for this generation of Oregonians and the next.”
Gordon Meeberg, Vice-President of Business Development, Computronix
