New Jersey ABC Selects Computronix

Denver, CO – Computronix is pleased to announce that its market-leading POSSE Alcoholic Beverage Control (“POSSE ABC”) software has been selected by the State of New Jersey Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control to implement a state-of-the-art Regulatory Licensing System.

New Jersey ABC, a Division of the State’s Department of Law and Public Safety, is responsible for the regulation, renewal, issuing, and enforcement of liquor licenses. The Division, led by Director Michael Halfacre, supervises the manufacture, distribution and sale of alcoholic beverages in such a manner as to fulfill the public policy and legislative purpose of the Alcoholic Beverage Control law.

“Modernizing our agency by replacing our existing system has been a high priority,” said Director Halfacre. “Implementing this new technology supports our goal to provide better regulation and safety for our businesses and residents, while providing our staff a more efficient and advanced web-based system to do their job.”

POSSE ABC enables State and other liquor authorities to increase productivity by automating and streamlining their unique liquor licensing and enforcement requirements. POSSE ABC includes a 24/7 public portal for online applications and renewals, performance dashboards and metrics for management, and mobile access for both customers and internal staff.

“Computronix is very excited to have been selected to implement the State’s new Alcoholic Beverage Control system, and to support New Jersey in better serving its citizens with the leading technology for regulatory liquor control agencies in North America,” said Gord Meeberg, Computronix Vice President of Business Development.
