POSSE software to be used for B.C. Liquor Regulatory activities

June 27, 2002

Computronix is pleased to announce that the Liquor Control and Licensing Branch (LCLB) of the B.C. Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General has selected the POSSE work management system for its liquor licensing, inspection, compliance and enforcement activities.

The LCLB is a self-financing regulatory arm of the B.C. government. POSSE will be used to manage the Branch’s workflow and will replace its existing data management systems.

"We are very pleased to be able to support the LCLB as it moves to optimize its business in light of the new provincial policy changes," said Keith Burgess, POSSE Business Development Manager.

"In an atmosphere of change and moving business targets, we believe POSSE will demonstrate its superiority in its ability to quickly adapt and flex with new business practices and evolving business rules. POSSE will provide LCLB staff with the one-stop resources they need for well-informed, pro-active decision making to serve the citizens of British Columbia effectively and responsibly," continued Burgess.

LCLB employees monitor approximately 7,000 establishments and 115 liquor manufacturers. In March of this year, the B.C. Government announced changes to streamline and modernize liquor regulations in the province.

POSSE is used by nearly 20 government and private sector clients across North America for various regulatory, licensing and work management activities.
