POSSE Selected by B.C. Ministry of Transportation

November 1, 2006

POSSE® continues to make inroads within the Province of British Columbia with its selection by the B.C. Ministry of Transportation for its new Subdivision, Permitting and Approvals Management system.

This will be the third POSSE implementation in the Provincial government, along with the B.C. Liquor Licensing Branch and the British Columbia Safety Authority. The Computronix environmental management system, Earthwon, is currently being implemented in the B.C. Ministry of Environment and the B.C. Oil and Gas Commission.

"We are certainly thrilled with the Province's increasing embrace of POSSE technology," said Keith Burgess, Computronix Business Development Manager. "For the Ministry, improved customer service is one of the key factors in this solution. Their new system will utilize our POSSE Internet and remote applications."

The Ministry's vision for this project is to reduce processing time for development applications; enhance customer service and agency participation through online service delivery; improve business processes by monitoring performance at all levels; and leverage existing technology investments to provide fully digitally-enabled business processes.

"POSSE will enable Ministry customers, such as applicants, professional advisors and referral agencies, along with Ministry staff and other stakeholders to collaborate on subdivision and permitting approvals, 24/7, across the province in a fully digital environment," said David Fisher, Development Approvals Manager for the Ministry of Transportation. "This will result in compressed application processing cycle times and improved service quality."

Computronix, along with its B.C. implementation partner, CGI in Victoria, will provide the Ministry with the services needed to implement the new Subdivision, Permitting and Approvals Management system. Related services include integration, configuration, installation, project management and analysis, and training and support.
