Computronix developing .NET library

New software tool to save time and effort in .NET development

November 12, 2003

As a leader in software development, Computronix has been a pioneer and early adopter of leading-edge development technology. With the launch of Microsoft’s .NET development environment in 2002, Computronix began developing applications using this new technology.

Realizing the potential of .NET; Computronix (Overseas) Limited contracted Computronix (Canada) Ltd. to build an application development class library that will save time and effort in the development and maintenance of .NET applications. This library will be sold by Computronix (Overseas) Limited to .NET developers around the world.

“Computronix has built a world-class .NET application development library. We believe this new library will reduce current .NET software development and maintenance effort by at least 50 per cent,” says Herman Leusink, President and CEO.

Beta-testing of the .NET library is currently underway. The official product launch is scheduled for Q1/2004 and the library will be available for purchase over the Internet.

Class libraries are nothing new to Computronix. During the mid 1990s, Computronix built an object library called Super!Class® for use with PowerBuilder. Computronix is also a player in the open source community with the development of a number of open source utilities.

Computronix is a Microsoft Certified Gold Partner, and has developed numerous Web-based, mobile and client-server applications that continue to exceed client expectations. Computronix is also utilizing .NET technology by tying existing Web applications into various portal technologies.

For the past 24 years, Computronix has built a reputation for developing powerful solutions and trust with its government and business clients. Since 1979, Computronix has used a wide variety of development platforms such as COBOL, Powerhouse, PowerBuilder, Visual Basic, ASP and .NET to name only a few.

Computronix, with service delivery offices in Edmonton, Alberta; Lakewood, Colorado; and Tangier, Morocco; has over 125 information technology and business professionals serving clients across North America.
