System Integration

A key feature of cxPathFinder is the ability to integrate with existing corporate system data to leverage your organizations existing “knowledge” about:

  • Customer information and history;
  • Location of all related activities, licenses and activities, etc.;
  • Specific geographic-based rules applicable to the customer or location;
  • and much more.

cxPathFinder can leverage information in any corporate system to answer questions and filter data in a Q&A decision tree path. Data can come from an ARC IMS system or any OLEDB compliant system, including POSSE and Earthwon. What’s more, cxPathFinder can be used within existing Web applications to act as a type of help resource, enabling the user to get more information on choices that can be made.

In fact, depending on the information needed, a user can enter any relevant spot in a Q&A path, and exit back to another Web application such as POSSE or Earthwon to initiate or continue a business process.

Geographic Information System (GIS) data Integration

Incorporating a Web-based GIS map search, cxPathFinder can quickly and automatically answer questions specific to a customer’s noted location. With this information, cxPathFinder will not present questions related to location, etc., but will provide the question and answer in the summary section.

cxPathFinder integrates with GIS data and Internet ARC IMS map display to provide an alternative entry point for the end user. With this functionality, the end-user can select the location of their activity on a map or do an address search resulting in highlighting the property on the map. Clicking the desired property on the map will automatically fill in the required address fields

If GIS is used to search for property information, a property summary window can be displayed with a summary of information about the selected property. The information displayed is defined during the initial path development. cxPathFinder then guides the user through the appropriate related Q&A path.

Note: There is no automatic GIS integration component or API included with cxPathFinder. Site-specific GIS integration would be required.
