The POSSE Recreational Angling Module supports the licensing of recreational anglers in a self-service, user-centric model. Anglers purchase licenses online and print their own copies of the official license document. If documents are lost or damaged, copies can be printed as needed without repurchase. The Shopping Cart ensures that purchase combinations are valid.

Conservation officers can detect whether a license is valid or not by scanning a QR code in the field with a QR Code reader for any smartphone. Conservation officers can also download (via Excel spreadsheets) lists of license numbers, names, and other data that match a particular set of license criteria, to assist them with inspection and enforcement activity in the field.
